It didn’t look anything like the video. But the taste? Absolutely incredible.

It started with a 0.3-second impulse — scrolling through YouTube, a burger video stopped me cold. One click, and I couldn't shake it. Before I knew it, I'd decided: let's make this together. Sometimes, a tiny impulse changes everything.

身体が、心から満足できる何かを強く求めていたのでしょう。迷うことなく「0.3秒でクリック」。

動画を観終える頃には、その情熱はすでに画面という境界線を越え、私の思考を支配していました。「今、これを作ってみたい」。

「計画のなさ」がもたらす特別な価値

私たちはつい、新しい試みに対して「完璧な準備」や「緻密なレシピ」を求めてしまいます。しかし、この日のバーガー作りには、確かな計画など何一つありませんでした。

ただ「美味しそう」という直感だけを携えて、大切なパートナーであるポンちゃんと一緒にキッチンに立つ。この「計画のなさ」こそが、日常を特別なものへと昇華させる贅沢な空白だったのです。

完璧という呪縛から解放され、計画のない空白が期待という色で満たされていく。そこにあるのは、ただ目の前の素材を慈しみ、自分たちの手で形にしていく自由な時間です。

「何の計画もなしに⼀緒に料理をするのは、特別なことだと思います。ただ何かを試して、完璧に⾒えなくても笑って、⾃分たちの⼿で作ったものを⾷べる。」

この言葉が示すのは、結果の美しさではなく、共に試行錯誤するプロセスそのものが私たちの心を豊かにしてくれるという真実です。

料理の味を完成させる「目に見えない調味料」

The ingredients were simple: ground meat, sliced cheese, Japanese bread, salt, pepper, mayo, mustard, ketchup — and the "Horinishi" all-purpose spice. But the most essential ingredients? Zero percent planning, one hundred percent curiosity, and someone to laugh with.

Three steps — that's all it takes. Sear the ground meat boldly in a pan. Melt the cheese until it's gloriously gooey. Wrap it all in soft Japanese bread. And the Horinishi spice? It was made for exactly this moment.

ひき肉をフライパンで力強く焼き、チーズを乗せてとろりと溶かす。

それを、香ばしく焼いた日本の食パンで挟む。味付けは、塩、コショウ、そして「この瞬間のために生まれた」と言っても過言ではない、日本のアウトドアスパイス「ほりにし」。仕上げにマヨネーズ、マスタード、ケチャップを添える。それだけです。

The YouTube burger was perfect-looking, carefully planned, and somewhere on the other side of a screen. Ours looked nothing like it — imperfect, unplanned, and completely real. Was it unbelievably delicious? Yes. Honestly, yes.

動画の中で輝いていた「完璧なバーガー」と、私たちが手元で完成させたバーガー。その見た目が似ていたかと言えば、決してそうではありません。

しかし、それで良いのです。血の通った家庭料理における成功の定義は、視覚的な完璧さの先にあるからです。

たとえ形が崩れても、たとえ焼きすぎてしまったとしても、それは後日談という名の豊かなスパイスに変わります。
